PLAVINA 2022

Dry-vinified Plavina from Skradin in the heart of Dalmatia is made from the local variety of the same name. The wine is bursting with fruit and vibrancy. The wine has a unique character, yet we can still taste its affinity to Primitivo/Zinfandel.The translucent, ruby-red wine is bursting with aromas of sour cherries, sun-drenched oregano, dark chocolate, plum, and Dalmatian spices, underscored by minerals, with a tart and earthy finish. On the palate, spicy fruit flavors emerge fresh and vibrant, leaving a delicious, juicy finish. Plavina is a variety with a typically Dalmatian character. It has lower alcohol and softer tannins, but higher acidity, making it very drinkable.  A fabulous accompaniment to pasta dishes, veal or charcuterie.
