Malvazija Selekcija 2021 displays medium, golden color with a fine brilliance. It is rather open on the nose, medium intense, still a bit shy, but showing a good amount of primary fruit such as peaches and apricots as well as ripe juicy yellow fruits, melon and white flowers. Very precise and well-knitted, perfect example of ripe and complex Malvazija Istriana. There is touch of smoky character and touch of dried herbs. It opens slowly with time showing a true complexity and elegance. Dry on the palate, with moderate acidities, good freshness, especially for the Mediterranean climate. It feels more medium bodied than big with well measured fruit intensity. There is just a touch of oily touch in the texture, keeping it fresh, vertical, focused and refined with plenty of delicate complexity. It finishes in a fine, slow decrescendo. Focused, concentrated and salty.
